PRIVACY POLICY Collier Computer Systems, LLC (CCS) is committed to maintaining your confidence, trust and loyalty, and accordingly maintains the following Privacy Policy to protect your personal information from disclosure to any third-party. Commitment to Security: Personal information is accessible only by CCS staff to handle service requests and direct marketing sent to our clients. All employees with access to personal information are also bound to adhere to this policy as part of their employment contract. Violation of this Privacy Policy will result in immediate and unconditional dismissal of that employee. Personal Information We May Collect: We collect the following types of personal information: names, postal and email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, billing information and computer-related data and hardware information, such as model numbers, software install codes, driver types/versions, PC serial numbers, and other technical information necessary to assist in our objective of assisting our clients with computer-related problems. CCS does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of our site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13. We do not intentionally seek-out personal information while servicing any hardware or device, other than the data gathered by specialized data-gathering software. This information is used to appropriately reinstall programs, software, restore specific settings and to locate specific driver types, versions and/or locations of such drivers on the web. Gleaning Sensitive Information: While servicing upon occasion, it is possible for an employee to glean information contained in an email, personal address book entry, hand-written or electronic notes, personal documents or other highly-confidential information. This is to be expected upon occasion and is not considered a Privacy Policy violation, unless repeated to a point of obvious and vagrant intent, to view such information willfully and purposefully. Gleaned information of this nature shall not be recorded, written or otherwise noted by any CCS employee, staff member or administrator. How We Use Personal Information: Unless you contest, we may use your personal information for the purpose for which it was submitted such as to reply to inquiries, handle your service requests and process billing related to services rendered. We will use such information to provide custom and detailed support services to you, your family and/or business. Personal and private pass-codes disclosed to employees, such as email passwords, login information or private access phone numbers will be used for testing and access purposes only. Remote Access: Remote access to computer accounts will have passwords with a minimum of nine (9) letters, numbers and upper/lowercase digits at all times. This information will not be disclosed to anyone other than engineer to conduct service and repairs on your equipment remotely. We will not report or publicize any personal information provided to us. Where and when, personal information is collected any email addresses, if provided, indicates your willingness to be contacted by email on a list to receive information about future CCS programs, specials, new services and useful computing information. At any time you can request addition or removal of your name from our email list by contacting: info@colliercomputer.com, and state your specific request. How Your Information May Be Shared: At Collier Computer Systems, LLC we pride ourselves by maintaining top-notch privacy and security for our clients. Upon occasion we may outsource marketing services such as mass-mailers or mass-emailer deliveries. Your name and/or company name and address will be used to deliver advertisements, billing statements and/or other pertinent information to you; however, information beyond your name (company and/or person and address) will not be disclosed. We will never sell or rent, any personal information, ever. Legal Exceptions to Our Privacy Policy: We will only release personal information under the following circumstances: (1) Where release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation, or is requested by an agency for governmental investigative purposes, governmental proceedings, or Homeland Security inquires; (2) To the appropriate governmental authorities, when warranted by a company’s failure to comply with billing and/or collection of monies due CCS, such as monthly billing subscriptions, annual contract payments; (3) Necessary personal information may be disclosed to third- party bill collectors in an attempt to collect a debt. Computer Tracking and Cookies: Our website does not track, collect or distribute personal information, not entered by our visitors; however, our website does generate log files of certain kinds of non-identifying usage data, such as the number of hits to a particular page and/or the number of visitors to the site. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others, but again, the statistics contain no specific personal information and cannot be used to gather such information.
Explanation of a “Cookie”: A
cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a
Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. CCS does not
use cookies to provide easier site navigation and access to forms.
You can still use our website if your browser is set to reject
cookies. Policy Changes: We reserve the right to modify this Privacy
Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, CCS
will post those changes in a conspicuous manner to this Privacy
Policy, and any other place(s) deemed appropriate, so that you are
made aware of such new policy changes.
